The Office of Equal Opportunity at Florida Tech is responsible for upholding the University’s commitment to fair and equitable access for all employees in compliance with state and federal non-discrimination laws. This office ensures that faculty and staff can work in an environment free from unlawful discrimination and harassment and have access to reasonable workplace accommodations as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other applicable laws.
The Office of Equal Opportunity oversees the University’s Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy and investigates claims of discrimination and harassment based on race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, genetic information, marital status, citizenship status, veteran status, and other legally protected characteristics in the workplace and hiring processes. The office serves as a neutral entity committed to ensuring compliance with the Civil Rights Act: Titles VI and VII, the ADA, and other related anti-discrimination laws.
